Vision and values
‘Learning for Life’
At Belmont, we are preparing our children to thrive in an ever-changing and fast-paced world. In doing so, we equip them with the skills and resilience to adapt and succeed whatever the future holds. We want our children to help to make the world a better place as kind, caring and responsible citizens who celebrate society’s diversity. We want everyone to understand that they can make a difference to the world they inhabit and to enjoy all that life has to offer.
We are curious about the world around us and love to learn at Belmont.
Our learning is stimulating and exciting and will take us beyond the National Curriculum. It opens our eyes to the opportunities and rich variety of experiences life has to offer.
We understand that we all have different strengths and we want everyone to have the opportunity to shine.
We are resilient and determined individuals who don’t give up easily. We try our hardest in all that we do and if we don’t get it right first time, we will try again. We are happy to take risks and understand that the mistakes we make help us to learn.
Generosity of spirit
We treat everyone with the respect we expect to see bestowed on ourselves. We show concern for others’ feelings and are honest, fair and kind towards everyone. We take responsibility for our own actions and make sure that we behave in a way that makes us proud.
Everybody in the Belmont community – parents, children, staff and Governors – belongs to the Belmont family. Like a family, we are united and we support and help each other. We understand that we can achieve more when we are a team working together.
