Residential Visits
Residential visits provide some of the most memorable experiences in a child’s school life. They are also invaluable in developing children’s resilience, confidence and teamwork.
We introduced such visits for all year groups in 2016-17 starting with a one night residential for Year 3 children, progressing to two nights for Year 4. This was originally at Moat Mount Outdoor and Camping Centre in Mill Hill. We have, for 2021-22, changed the venue for the Year 3 and 4 residential vist to Cuffley Camp in Hertfordshire. Children in Year 5 visit Pendarren Outdoor Education Centre in the Brecon Beacons for a 5-day trip.
During Year 6 the children participate on a 5 day visit to Aberdovey Outward Bounds Centre in North Wales. During this week the children study Geography, Geology, Natural History and Science ‘in the field’ and learn greater self-reliance and independence.
